Well hello there. My name is Ally. I'm a writer/editor at Upworthy. I also enjoy creating satire for places like McSweeney's and National Lampoon. I have a number of words at Huffington Post, Mic, Mental Floss, Teen Vogue, Bustle, The Dodo and SheKnows. I regularly write about sociology, entertainment, gender equality, humanitarianism, science and technology, animals, parenting, body positivity, politics, oh yeah and animals. When I'm not writing, I'm usually making up silly voices, creating elaborate cat videos, or yelling at my TV.
